He is also the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter, the leading branch of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; the non-governmental, not-for-profit umbrella body of professional Public Relations practitioners chartered by law to regulate and develop the public relations, public affairs and communication practice in Nigeria with functioning Chapters in the 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory.
With over 14 years’ cognate experience in journalism, publishing, public relations, advertising, branding, marketing, consumer affairs, and digital media, Olusegun is passionate about helping organizations and brands maximize their full potential.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Upticomm, he has managed several international and homegrown brands including Samsung Electronics West Africa, Lagos Business School, Cocoa Processing Company, Ghana (makers of Golden Tree brand of chocolates), International Data Corporation (IDC), Banc Garanti Limited (BGL), FATE Foundation and Lagos State Football Association.
Olusegun holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Diploma in Public Relations and a Post Graduate Degree in Journalism with specialization in content generation and development. He is a professional member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and has attended numerous courses in digital media, photography, graphic design, marketing, branding, communications, entrepreneurship, leadership and management.
Olusegun is a reputable speaker facilitating communication, branding, leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing and brand management courses in reputable institutions, including the FATE Foundation; the foremost school of budding entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
He founded TheRoleModelLectureSeries™; a corporate social responsibility initiative fostering mentor-protégé relationship for pupils in public secondary schools to inspire them to greatness. He also founded the DreamWorks and The BigBoss Magazines, now rested. He is actively involved in philanthropy and community service doing pro Bono work as facilitator and mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs of the FATE Foundation and he is also a leading contributor to the “Read 4A Change” and “Think 4A Change” Initiatives.
